First up we have.... THE MERLE STREET MONKEY WRENCHES, sponsored by the Georgia Bulldogs(wink). The crew spent the first morning clearing brush, and what I would call an unhealthy part of the day, scraping paint. The jobs not glamorous, but these guys got right down to it. By the end of day two the crew had come a long way. Looking forward to the finished product guys. The monkey wrenches are the only crew I've visited so far with an injury(fingers crossed). It just so happens that the crew's medic, John, hurt his leg playing basketball with Big Mel. C'mon Big Mel, not the medic!

Next we have.... THE CEDAR STREET PAINT CHIPS, who earned their name I might add. Yes sir scrapin' paint is the name of the game. They seem to be the quiet group in Bismarck, but only because they had their minds on their work. Despite the hot Mizzury sun and the chiggers(which are NOT plants ;) ), their determination was unshakable and their progress admirable. By day two they were almost done painting one side of their house, while finishing up the scapin's on the other sides. Props to the paint chips.

And now I give you the first crew on Spruce Street... THE LUMBER RUMBLERS, lead by none other than 'DUN DUN DUN'.... Mr. Bob. These guys are roofing machines. When I visited the work site on day 1, Mr. Bob told me about a group of Alabamians who tore the old shingles off in no time flat. Don't let the funny accents fool ya, they're good honest workers. As soon as I walked up to the house on the second day Mr. Bob said to me, "Get this picture right here!" Adam Frew and Ann 'the Beast' Enoch had already completely shingled a side of the roof by themselves. Needless to say I was very impressed. Great job Lumber Rumblers.

And last but certainly not least, the second crew to grace Spruce Street.... THE MITER JOINTS! Both days I was greeted from the roof by Myles Brinkly, hard at work. If I didn't know any better I'd say he never came down. He also told me of a near by neighbor they had met that was on fire for Christ and praying for them and their work. The owner of the house the Miter Joints are working on is also very adamant about them being here. She was ecstatic when she found out the World Changers were more than willing to paint her porch, on top of putting a new roof on her house.

More to come in the following days...
