I know that this is being posted a few days after the project finished, but I wanted to say something about our final worship service.
First of all, thank you Luke for allowing God to use you to speak to us every evening. It was a great week of worship!
Friday night's worship was extreme for me. The message that was brought is so true in today's society. Coming out of John chapter 6, Luke spoke to us about being a Bandwagon Believer. These are "believers" who only follow Jesus when it is convenient for them. They follow Him for entertainment and selfish reasons. They only want Him when they decide it is best for themselves. These so called "believers" are not true believers!
A true believer is one who comes to know Jesus not only as Savior, but they also come to know Him as Lord. They let Him have total control of their life. Whatever it is that He says, they do it. He is the One in control.
Again, thank you Luke for bringing this message from God to us. Above was just a simple summary of what our speaker had to say. However, I think it is plenty to get people to thinking. Unfortunately, the "bandwagon believer" seems to be an epidemic in the world today. Whether you were actually at Friday night's worship or reading about it here, I pray that the message makes you examine your own life and make decisions that need to be made. Be honest with yourself and God regarding your relationship with Him. Is Jesus the Lord of your life? Does He have total control? Or are you just playing some game with Him that really has no meaning at all?
